I am a historian of modern Europe with an interest in the social, cultural, and gender history of Austria-Hungary and East Central Europe from the late 19th century to the post-WWII period. I have written on Hungarian and Central European intellectual, student, and women’s movements, the intellectual migration from Hitler’s Europe, and gender and nationalism. In my current research project I explore academic anti-Semitism during the 1920s and 1930s in Hungary and Central Europe.
